KORG UK Product Warranty Information

 

 

KORG UK LTD values your custom and always attempts to provide you the very best of service.

KORG products are manufactured under strict specifications and voltages required by each country. These products are warranted by the KORG distributor only in each country. Any KORG product sold within a territory other than it was intended for or not carrying a serial number disqualifies the product sold from the manufacturer's/distributors warranty and liability. This requirement is for your own protection and safety.

KORG UK LTD's limited warranty provides that, subject to the following limitations, each product will be free from defects in material and workmanship and will conform to KORG's specification for the particular product under normal use and service for the warranty period*  from the original date of purchase. KORG UK LTD, at its option, shall repair or replace the defective unit covered by this warranty.

*The Warranty Period

Standard Warranty Period
Unless otherwise state, the warranty period is twelve (12) months from the date on which the FIRST customer purchased the product from New and covers both parts and labour. It is non transferable and only applicable in the country of purchase.

Extended Warranty Period
Selected KORG products detailed below and on www.korg.co.uk product pages, at the discretion of KORG UK LTD, benefit from an extended warranty period of twenty four (24) months in addition to the standard warranty period of twelve (12) months, giving a total of thirty six (36) months / 3 years cover. This period is from the date on which the FIRST customer purchased the product from new and covers both parts and labour. It is non transferable and only applicable in the country of purchase. Product registration is required to qualify for the extended warranty period.

Please Note: All fuses, valves and external power supplies have a  warranty  of three months.

Please retain the dated sales receipt as evidence of the date of purchase and register your purchase online or by post. This is essential and needed for any warranty service.

Registering your KORG product
Selected KORG products only qualify for The Extended Warranty Period once they have been registered. Registration must be made by the original purchaser within 28 days after purchase. Registration can be made online at www.korg.co.uk/register. Where supplied, the official KORG warranty card can be completed and returned to KORG UK LTD. If you unable to register online and have no warranty card, please contact KORG UK LTD on 01908 304600 or by email on support@korg.co.uk to register.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product only.

KORG UK LTD may elect which remedy or combination of remedies to provide at its sole discretion. KORG UK LTD shall have a reasonable time after determining that a defective product exists to repair or replace a defective product. KORG UK LTD's replacement product under its limited warranty will be manufactured from new and/or serviceable used parts. KORG UK LTD's warranty applies to repaired or replaced products for the balance of the applicable period of the original warranty.

KORG UK LTD's entire liability for any defective product shall in no event exceed the purchase price for the defective product.

KORG UK LTD has no liability for general, consequential, incidental or special damages. These include loss of recorded data, the cost of recovery of lost data, lost profits, lost earnings and the cost of the installation or removal of any products.

  • The warranty is only valid in the country of purchase.
  • Only KORG products purchased from a Korg UK authorised dealer where the product has been supplied by KORG UK LTD are covered by the warranty.
  • Proof of Warranty - The customer must provide proof of purchase in order to obtain warranty service. The dated sales slip or copy thereof is the only acceptable proof of purchase.
  • Product registration is required to qualify for the extended warranty period where applicable.

The warranty does not cover:

    • The replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
    • Periodic or routine necessary maintenance.
    • Damage from physical abuse such as dropping the unit or impact from hard objects.
    • Damage due to liquid contamination and /or battery leakage.
    • Damage due to excessive high or low Temperature/Humidity.
    • Damage due to inappropriate storage.
    • Physical damage to the heads of any floppy/hard disk mechanism.
    • Physically damaged connectors.
    • Broken keys or physical damage to the keyboard mechanism.
    • Damage resulting from any use other than that it was intended for.
    • Any unit that has been repaired or had an attempted repair made to it by non-Korg personnel.
    • Damage due to incorrect connection, connection to faulty equipment or connection to faulty or incorrect power supplies.
    • Any product whose serial number plate has been defaced or removed.
    • Damage in transit as a result of inadequate packaging or protection.
    • Damage to packaging including instrument/flight cases.
    • Any product returned without proof of purchase.
    • Product purchase as ex-demo, refurbished stock or 2nd hand.
