Sixteen Preset Template Songs
You can speed up the music production process by using previously prepared
templates containing program selections and effects appropriate for a given
musical style. Frequently-used program settings, track parameter settings,
and effect settings can also be stored as one of sixteen user template songs.
Track-Independent Loop Playback
Each track can be individually looped, so it's easy to get a Song going with
a 2-bar drum loop, 8-bar bassline, multiple 1-bar arpeggiated riffs, or a
16-bar harmony track. Individual track looping also makes it easier than ever
to place Patterns into Sequence tracks.
Cue List Lets You Successfully Playback Multiple Songs
The playback order of up to 100 songs can be specified in a Cue List. Twenty
cue lists can be stored in internal memory. By successively playing the desired
songs with a specified number of repeats per Song, you can easily and efficiently
create a larger composition. To change the structure of the composition, simply
modify the cue list. This powerful new feature from smaller segments, like
verse, chorus, bridge, solo section, etc.
Support For Standard MIDI File Format
Sequence data you create can be saved in SMF format 0 or 1, making it easy
to edit your data on an external computer-based sequencer. A Direct Play capability
lets you playback data directly from disk without loading it into internal
memory for live performance. A jukebox function lets you edit the order in
which songs will be played, for convenient playback of multiple songs.
KORG's Own Touchview Graphical User Interface For Hands-On
Operation
The numerous functions and parameters of the TRITON series are displayed in
a large and highly- visible 320 x 240 pixel screen. KORG's original TouchView
Graphical User Interface lets you perform operations smoothly just by touching
the screen. On the TRITON, not only sounds but also oscillator waveforms and
effect algorithms can be selected by category for even greater efficiently.
The awesome power of the TRITON is supported by a superbly user-friendly interface.
Controllers For Performance Possibilities
As controllers, the TRITON series provides a joystick, ribbon controller,
two assignable switches, four realtime control knobs, and three arpeggiator
control knobs. Alternate modulation and effect dynamic modulation can be controlled
via these controllers, or they can be set to control functions of external
MIDI devices. With the TRITON, your musical intentions can be expressed freely,
whether or in the studio.
TRITON OPTIONS: OPTION BOARDS FURTHER EXPAND THE POTENTIAL OF THE TRITON SERIES
EXB-MOSS DSP SYNTHESIZER BOARD
The TRITON series can be expanded by the installation of the ultimate DSP tone generator --- the 13 oscillator 6-voice MOSS (Multi-Oscillator Synthesis System) tone generator featured on the Z1. This lets you use all synthesis methods --- PCM, analog, VPM (variable phase modulation), and physical modeling --- on a single instrument. When the MOSS tone generator is installed, 128 MOSS programs are added. You can create combination programs that use multiple MOSS timbres together with HI sounds.
MOSS (MULTI OSCILLATOR SYNTHESIS SYSTEM)
The MOSS sound generator consists of Voice, EG and LFO sections. The voice
section contains two powerful oscillator blocks OSC1/OSC2 which let you combine
up to two of thirteen types of oscillator algorithm (resonance, organ model,
electric piano model, standard, ring modulation, VPM, brass model, reed model
and more), a sub oscillator, and a noise generator. The voice section also
contains a filter block featuring two multi-mode filters that cover the range
from analog synth sounds to complex sounds such as the body resonance of violin
or guitar, or even human voice. To this are added five EG units and four LFO
units, providing a rich variety of tonal and pitch changes for each voice.
MOSS SPECIFICATIONS
Sound Source: 6 voices, 2 oscillators (max.)
+ sub oscillator + noise generator
Oscillator Types: 13 (Standard, Ring Modulation,
Cross Modulation, Oscillator Sync, VPM (Variable Phase Modulation), Comb filter
oscillator, Resonance oscillator, Organ model, Electric piano model, Brass
model, Reed model, Plucked string model, Bowed string model)

EXB-SCSI SCSI INTERFACE BOARD: CONNECT EXTERNAL MEDIA VIA A SCSI CONNECTOR
SCSI interface lets you connect TRITON series to an external media (hard disk,
removable media such as Jaz and ZIP ) or a CD-ROM drive.
When this option is installed, you can save TRITON series data such as program/combination
data, samples, sequence data, and global data to external media. Also you
can load AKAI S1000/S3000 (Samples, Mapped Multisounds only), KORG Trinity-format
sample files (Triton cannot load Trinity format data from TFD-1S, TFD-2S,
TFD-3S and TFD-4S , since they use data-compressed data) , AIFF & WAVE
format sample files via CD ROM drive.
