4-channel audio in / 6-channel audio out

TRITON Extreme offers two channels of analog audio input plus a two-channel digital input, either of can be used a source for stereo sampling. The analog inputs provide a MIC/LEVEL select switch and a level adjustment control that accommodates a range of external audio sources ranging from mic level to line level. The S/P DIF digital input supports 48 kHz. Six channels of audio output are provided; L/MONO and R main stereo audio outputs, four independent audio outputs, and the S/P DIF (48 kHz) two-channel output.

Enhanced USB functionality

The TRITON Extreme provides two USB connectors; USB A and USB B. External USB devices such as a CD-R/RW drive or hard disk can be connected to the USB A port. With an external CD-R/RW, you can back up your data or burn audio CDs. The USB B connector can be connected to your computer, allowing the computer to access the data stored in the CompactFlash or Microdrive media in the card slot of the TRITON Extreme.

High capacity storage via CompactFlash or Microdrive
The card slot allows song data and sample data created on the TRITON Extreme to be saved and managed on high-capacity CompactFlash or Microdrive media.

Arpeggiator and RPPR functions add to your performance
Polyphonic dual arpeggiator with a massive number of patterns
The TRITON Extreme contains two dynamic and polyphonic arpeggiators that can extend an arpeggio pattern across as many as four octaves. In addition to using the arpeggiators in a realtime performance, you can record their output on the internal sequencer and use the arpeggios as part of your song. Arpeggios can be used in a variety of ways; for example you can apply two different arpeggios to two separate sounds in a combination, or use velocity to switch between two different arpeggio patterns. In addition to five basic preset arpeggio patterns, the internal memory contains 507 user programmable locations, of which 489 are preloaded, designed to complement a variety of the internal sounds. A Fixed Note mode lets the arpeggiator produce rhythmic rather than melodic phrases, which can be used to play drums or percussion sounds. By selecting this type of arpeggio pattern to play the drums and using a different arpeggio pattern to play the bass, you can create a tight rhythm section quickly and easily. Arpeggiator parameters can be controlled in realtime - switching arpeggio patterns during playback, for example. Arpeggios can be synchronized to an external MIDI Clock or to the internal sequencer. The rich array of patterns, functionality, and broad range of controllers work together to deliver a level of performance that exceeds everything you've expected from arpeggiators up to now.

RPPR (Realtime Pattern Play/Recording) function

Repeating patterns or phrases can be recorded and assigned to individual keys on the keyboard. You can play a different pattern from each key (and even press multiple keys to play different phrases simultaneously), or play patterns from one area of the keyboard while using another area of the keyboard to play "conventionally" for sophisticated realtime performances.

Fast, musical and intuitive interface

All of the TRITON Extreme's functions and parameters are displayed in the large 320 x 240 pixel screen. With Korg's ultra-fast TouchView graphic user interface you can access hundreds of parameters simply by touching the screen, for the ultimate in intuitive and user-friendly operation.
In addition, the joystick, ribbon controller, assignable keys, and realtime control knobs provide musically expressive control in any situation, from studio work to live performances on stage.

Available with 88 true piano action keys
