The top-of-the-range C-720 model offers musicians a stunning range of user-friendly features and boast one of the most natural and expressive piano sounds you'll hear anywhere, making your playing experience all the more rewarding.
Making this possible is KORG's new proprietary sampling technology, an approach that recreates even the smallest sonic details that may seem insignificant, but are nevertheless critical to reproducing an authentic, rich acoustic tone. Special functions, such as sympathetic resonance, the subtle damper pedal noise, piano body simulation, half-pedalling, and dedicated samples for the key-off sounds are at the heart of our new “Piano eXperience” tone generation.
We've even incorporated a brilliance control that allows you to subtly modify the 40 on-board sounds to suit your playing room's natural ambience and your personal preference. In ‘Layer mode' you can play two sounds simultaneously, such as piano and strings, and adjust the volume balance between them. The C-720 also let you assign different sounds to the low and high ranges of the keyboard and play them independently by virtue of the ‘Split mode'.
Contributing significantly to the realism of the Concert Series, is our professional-grade RH-3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action 3) keyboard, taken from our lauded OASYS (Open Architecture Synthesis Studio) . Weighted and balanced like a true grand piano, the graded hammer action means that the keys are progressively lighter towards the upper end of the keyboard.
The tone generators are linked to advanced stereo amplification systems, ensuring that every sonic detail is reproduced faithfully and clearly. The C-720 features a bi-amplification system driving two 16cm woofers in sealed enclosures, teamed with dome tweeters for clear highs and superb presence.
The C-720 is fashioned from wenge finished ash, reflecting the best of contemporary Italian furniture styling and will complement a wide range of décor schemes. An attractive keyboard cover and music rest come as standard and the slim, well laid out control panel features a tasteful blue display which is clearly visible no matter how dark the stage or the room you're playing in.
Other highly practical features include a USB port, a Piano Lesson function, 2 master effects processors, a generous 24 Insert effects, an on-board metronome with over 35 drum rhythms covering most musical genres, ten different temperaments, a quarter-tone function for oriental music, two headphone sockets, an innovative Performance mode, a 2-track recorder plus a Songbook function.
