This is the operating system for all D1600 units. It addresses a few low-level bugs. Only upgrade your D1600 OS if you have an earlier version (Your version number is briefly displayed on D1600's "wake-up" screen on powering up).

This upgrade may be performed from CD or via the USB connection from your Mac or Windows PC.

Be sure to select the right download for your use.

Note: PC users who are running Windows 98 will first need to download this D1600mkII USB driver.

Mac users need to running 9.04 or higher.

Included in each compressed download is a history, detailing the changes and additions to this (and any previous) operating system and a "How To" set of instructions for performing the upgrade. Please follow the directions carefully, as the system files need to be placed where the D1600mkII can find them.

If your computer is equipped with a USB port and is running Windows 98, the Korg USB Driver will allow you to backup your D1600 mkII data to your computer via a USB cable.

This download contains two items: The installation manual in .pdf format, and a folder containing the software driver. Copy the folder to your computer, and follow the direction in the manual.

Please refer to the D1600mkII User's Manual about how to backup data after the installation. This driver is not needed for users of Windows 2000/ME/XP.
